Toni's Legacy

Trained by Kevin Bishop out of Spaxton in Somerset, Toni's Legacy is part of a small, modestly sized yard that has managed two winners this season. For a trainer operating at that level, every runner counts, and a horse that has not picked up a single placing from six attempts is not making the job any easier. That said, the slight improvement suggested by those mid-sequence finishes — moving from tenth and eleventh back toward fourth and fifth — is at least something to point to, even if it has not yet translated into a return.

At five years old, there is still time for things to click. Racing can be unforgiving, but horses do sometimes find their feet when the right conditions come together. With a race just yesterday, Toni's Legacy is clearly being kept busy, and the team at Spaxton have not given up on finding a race it can get competitive in. Whether that day arrives soon remains to be seen.
