What is worth noting is the yard behind it. Trainer Jim Goldie, based in Uplawmoor, Lanarkshire, has sent out 88 winners this season — a genuinely impressive haul that signals a busy, well-organised operation with horses capable of winning races. When a horse comes from a yard producing that kind of volume, there's at least reason to think it's in capable hands as it learns its trade.
For now, Togeather Forever is very much a horse to watch rather than one to fully assess. A sixth-place finish on debut means little without knowing how far back it finished or what the competition was like. The next run or two will tell us far more.
