She announced herself at Wolverhampton in June 2023, and within a year had climbed all the way to the top tier of British racing, winning a Class 1 race at Newcastle in June 2024. To put that in perspective: most horses spend their entire careers without sniffing a race that prestigious. Tiffany did it at three years old, in her tenth career start. Her most recent form reads 3-2-1-2-1-1 — meaning three wins and three places from her last six outings — which is the kind of sequence that would have her trainer's phone ringing constantly, if only she were still racing.

That is the catch. Tiffany has not been seen on a racecourse in roughly 17 months. Whatever the reason for that absence, it represents a significant gap for a young horse at what should be the peak of her career. Long breaks can mean many things — injury, patience, planning — and it is worth remembering that her trainer, the legendary Sir Mark Prescott at Newmarket, is not a man who does things without reason. His yard has sent out 49 winners already this season, which is the output of an operation that wastes nothing and plans everything. If Tiffany comes back, she will come back prepared.

That kind of continuity matters: a jockey who knows a horse well can read its moods, its rhythm, its quirks.
