Trained by Patrick Neville at Coverham in North Yorkshire, Tickets runs in the green colours of owner John Fretwell. The horse was first sent into a race four times early in his career, winning his second race at Kempton Park in May 2022 before stepping up to handicap company. His jockey Andrew Mullen, who rides him regularly, has steered him to the winner's enclosure twice from twenty races together, a win rate of one in ten that mirrors Tickets' overall record — solid rather than spectacular. Neville's yard has been prolific this season with twenty-eight winners to their name, a sign of a trainer running a busy, well-organised operation.

What makes Tickets worth watching is his class-level consistency. At Class 6, he has won four of his seventeen races, a win rate of nearly one in four that shows he is neither out of his depth nor over-matched. He appears to be at the ceiling of what he can achieve, but that makes him a dependable proposition at his level — the sort of horse that fits a handicap perfectly and can deliver on his day. Moving forward, the plan is to keep him active through winter on the all-weather track as he continues to develop, with the prospect of stepping up to a mile once conditions allow and turf racing beckons.
