Most horses have a strong preference one way or the other; this one seems to thrive in almost anything thrown at her, which gives the yard enormous flexibility when it comes to placing her. Winning two-thirds of your races at any track is the kind of number that makes trainers plan their season around a venue.

She is now in the hands of Dan Skelton, based at Alcester in Warwickshire — one of the most productive yards in Britain this season, having sent out 194 winners already. That is not a yard that wastes time on horses without potential. Jockey Gary Carroll has ridden her nine times and won twice together, a 22% win rate that puts their partnership slightly ahead of her overall career average. Her previous trainer Gavin Cromwell flagged that she can be inconsistent — "in and out" was the phrase used — but also noted that on a good day, with a small field and a bit of a tow into the race, she can look very comfortable indeed. Jockey Keith Donoghue observed after one run that she needed time to warm into it early on, but once she found her rhythm the jumping sharpened up considerably.

Her recent form reads 1-3-blank-5-2-1, which is the shape of a horse coming back to her best. Two wins from her last six races, combined with a win just this week, suggests the Skelton yard has found the right rhythm with her. At Class 3 level she wins 1 in every 5 races, and there may well be a step up in class on the horizon.
