Tell Nobody Nothin

Trained by Noel Meade at his yard in Castletown, Co Meath — one of Ireland's most respected operations, having sent out 42 winners already this season — Tell Nobody Nothin picked up its first career win at Downpatrick in September 2024. Then, more recently, it went back to winning ways at Kilbeggan on 24 April 2026, just three weeks ago, suggesting the yard has found something with this horse at the moment.

The most recent six-race sequence reads: a win, then a blank, then fourth, third, and sixth — run in reverse from most recent, that tells you the Kilbeggan win came at a good time. The horse had been knocking around mid-pack finishes before that, and the win will have done confidence no harm. Jockey Donagh Meyler has been the regular partner, riding 12 of those 20 career races together for 1 win between them — a win rate of around 8%, or roughly 1 in every 12. That's modest, but regular partnerships in racing are built on trust as much as results, and Meyler clearly knows this horse well.

What makes Tell Nobody Nothin worth watching right now is the timing. Raced just one day ago and currently active, this is a horse that's fit, busy, and has a recent win behind it. Horses in form and in work are often the most interesting ones to follow, and with Meade's yard firing at a productive rate this season, there's every reason to think this six-year-old is being placed with purpose. It won't win often — it never has — but when the conditions suit and the yard sends it out with intent, it has already shown it can get the job done.
