Synergism

Most of those wins have come somewhere specific. Synergism has raced at Kempton Park three times and won twice, a 67% success rate at one track that is too consistent to be coincidence. Horses that take to particular venues — the track shape, the surface, the way the bends run — are worth watching whenever they go back. The last win there came on 13 August 2025, which is now around eight months ago, and the horse hasn't raced for five months since. That kind of break can mean anything from a minor setback to a patient trainer biding their time, but Sir Mark Prescott's yard has sent out 49 winners this season alone, so they clearly know what they're doing.

The partnership with jockey Luke Morris is another reason to pay attention. Together they have won 4 of their 10 races — 40%, or 2 in every 5, which is a striking number. A jockey who knows a horse well, and a horse that responds to one rider, is a genuine advantage in a sport where communication between human and animal matters more than most people realise.

There is also a surface preference worth noting. On slow, wet ground, Synergism has won 2 of 3 races — a 67% win rate. Many horses tolerate conditions rather than thrive in them; this one appears to actively improve when the ground gets testing. Recent form of 3-5-2-1-1-4 over the last six races shows a horse that has been competitive more often than not, with back-to-back wins in the middle of that sequence. Returning from five months off, the question is simply whether the sharpness is still there — and with this trainer, this jockey, and a course like Kempton potentially on the horizon, conditions could quickly fall in Synergism's favour.
