The first win came at The Curragh on 29 June 2025, one of Ireland's most prestigious venues, which is no small place to get off the mark. The second followed at Killarney on 22 August 2025, suggesting Sujet had found a real vein of form over that summer period. Killarney is a tight, turning track where horses with a bit of tactical awareness tend to thrive, and banking back-to-back wins across two very different Irish courses is a decent indicator of a horse with some adaptability.
The recent form since that Killarney win tells a different story, though. Reading the last six runs from most recent backwards — 10th, 2nd, 7th, 13th, 1st, 4th — there's a lot of inconsistency. That second place is encouraging, and it shows the ability is still there, but the 10th and 13th suggest Sujet hasn't found the same rhythm that made the summer of 2025 so productive. Carroll's yard has been in good nick this season, sending out 22 winners, so the horse is in capable hands as the team tries to find the right opportunity to get Sujet back to winning ways.
With a race just yesterday, Sujet is clearly an active and fit horse right now. The task is piecing together why the form has blown hot and cold — and whether the right conditions can unlock another performance like those two summer wins.
