Class 1 races are the top tier of British racing, the ones that get shown on television and attract the best horses in training. Winning one of those is not something most racehorses ever manage. To do it as a four-year-old, having only had a first career win at Haydock Park a few months earlier that June, suggests a horse that improved sharply and fast. Then in September 2025 came a Class 2 win at Doncaster — one of the game's great old tracks — confirming this is no one-hit wonder.

The recent form figures of 4-1-9-11-6-1 tell a slightly more complicated story. That ninth and eleventh suggest Subsequent does not always fire, and the last win at Doncaster is now eight months in the rearview mirror. But the horse raced just one day ago, so whatever happens next is very much still being written.
