None of this makes Style King a star in the making—he remains a modest operator—but the upward curve in his form, his course specialist credentials at Lingfield, and his clear preference for good ground all point to a horse that his the yard understand and are placing with some care. For a horse winning roughly one in every eight races, two wins in six starts is genuine progress, and Lingfield Park seems the place where that progress is most likely to continue.
