Tim Easterby's yard at Great Habton in North Yorkshire is one of the most productive operations in the country right now, having sent out 126 winners already this season. That's not a lucky streak — that's a yard that knows how to place horses, bring them along steadily, and find the right race at the right time. When a trainer of that calibre keeps running a young horse, it usually means they see something worth developing. Two-year-olds often need time to mature and learn the game, and plenty of horses that finish sixth or seventh early in their career go on to be genuinely competitive once they strengthen up and the penny drops.

Three races in, one place on the board, and a top team behind her — Stripes Of Glory is a work in progress, but she's in exactly the right hands to make that progress count.
