Dougie Costello has been Stoneywell's main pilot, riding it in seven of those ten races, but they have not found the winning formula together yet. The partnership remains winless from seven attempts. The horse is trained by Steph Hollinshead at Upper Longdon in Staffordshire, a yard that has already sent out seven winners this season, so the trainer clearly knows how to get horses across the line. That Stoneywell has not been one of them suggests it may simply be a horse without quite enough speed or class to break through at whatever level it is competing. Still, with a recent run just yesterday, the yard is clearly confident there is more to come.
