Star Baby

There isn't much to judge on yet. One race, no wins, no places — that's a blank canvas, and a sixth-place finish on debut tells us very little on its own. Some horses need a run just to understand what racing is actually about, and plenty of good ones have started their careers looking unimpressive before finding their feet. Whether Star Baby falls into that category remains to be seen.

At three years old, there's plenty of time. The season is still live, the yard is clearly firing, and Walker's record suggests he knows what he's doing with his horses. The next run will tell us a great deal more.
