His most recent outing was a win at Haydock Park ten months ago, and Beckett's plans for him now suggest genuine ambition. The trainer is plotting a path through the spring's biggest mile-and-a-quarter races, starting with the Great Met at Epsom and potentially the Jorvik at the Dante meeting, before a decision on whether to step up in distance for Royal Ascot's prestigious races or stick to the Duke of Edinburgh trip where he has proven himself. For a horse with three career wins, this kind of high-level campaign is a significant statement of confidence. Sing Us A Song may not be a superstar yet, but his yard clearly sees something worth chasing at the highest level of the game.
