It suggests the jockey understands what makes this horse tick, how to place it, and when to ask for the effort. Those wins came at Limerick on 1 April 2025 and more recently at Tramore on 14 August 2025, victories that came on normal ground conditions, which is clearly where Silent Selector is most comfortable: 2 wins from 6 races on standard conditions means a win rate of 33 percent when the track is neither unusually hard nor unusually soft.

The current form is mixed. Silent Selector raced just a day ago and finished seventh, but before that there have been some decent efforts — a sixth place, a fifth, and that win at Tramore. It has been 12 months since the last victory, which suggests the horse may be in need of a confidence-building run or a return to a race and ground combination it favours. Gerard O'Leary's Kildare yard has sent out 11 winners this season and clearly knows how to keep horses competitive, so Silent Selector remains one to watch if it gets back to the kind of conditions and track setup where it has shown it can win.
