When racing between seven furlongs and a mile, Shes Got The Blues wins roughly half her races — three wins from six attempts is the kind of record that tells you those are her trips, the distances where her racing shape and stride suit the demands. She is equally at home on normal ground, where she has won two of five races. The danger, though, is stepping up to Class 6 company: she is yet to break through at that level, zero wins from six attempts, which suggests there is a ceiling to what she can achieve against stronger opposition. At Class 5 and below, though, she remains a genuine winning prospect, and with Tony Carroll's yard in excellent form this season — they have sent out 136 winners — there is every reason to expect her to continue playing her part. A horse that wins roughly one race in every six overall may not sound spectacular, but one that wins half her races at the right distance on the right ground is a horse racing people in her yard will be watching closely.
