Rory Anthony Devine trains her from Bagnalstown, a modest yard in County Carlow that has sent out just one winner this season—so She's A Nation may well be that horse, or her win may have come before the current campaign began. Either way, Devine is not operating at the level of the big training powers, and neither is the horse. For a 4-year-old to have raced only four times in her career speaks to either injury, time off, or simply lack of ability to justify frequent racing. She has placed in three of those four races, which is respectable; she wins roughly 1 in every 4 races. But ten months since her last victory, with only mixed results over the past few runs, suggests she has found her level—a useful lower-tier horse, the kind you might back for place money rather than outright victory.
