She Won't Mind

Her recent form makes for similarly tough reading. In her last six races she has finished seventh, pulled up or unseated twice, fourth, ninth, pulled up or unseated again, and ninth. The two dashes in that sequence — races where she didn't complete the course — suggest this is a horse who has had her share of difficult days out. A fourth-place finish stands out as probably the closest she has come to anything resembling a good run, and even that came without a win or a place to show for it.

Harry Reed has stuck with her through seven of those races without a single win to show for it, which says something about either loyalty or optimism, depending on how you look at it. At Class 4 — a mid-tier level where the competition is far from the top of the sport — she has raced six times and still not managed a win. That's the level where you'd expect a horse to find its feet if it was going to find them anywhere.

She raced just yesterday, so she is very much still active. Whether the yard — the team behind her — keep persisting is a question only they can answer. Some horses simply never find their moment. She Won't Mind, it seems, lives up to her name.
