Shaqra Queen has raced just once so far and finished sixth in that outing a day ago. The 2-year-old is trained by K. R. Burke at Coverham in North Yorkshire, a yard that has already sent out 145 winners this season, so there is clear experience in the operation. Whether this first run was a learning experience or a sign of things to come remains to be seen — at this stage in a young horse's career, a single race tells you very little. Burke's track record suggests the horse will get another chance to show what it can do.
