Trained by Brian M McMahon at Scarriff in County Galway, Saporetti is part of a yard that has sent out four winners this season, indicating a stable with decent form and know-how. The horse remains active and was racing just a day ago, so the yard are clearly keen to keep it campaigned. With three places from four starts, there is enough evidence of ability to suggest a win may not be far away — plenty of horses take several races to break through, and placed finishes often come just before a horse finds that extra gear needed to get its head in front. The question now is whether the next outing can deliver the result that the record has been threatening.
