The fact that Sagremor hasn't broken through yet is more about the horse finding its moment than any lack of preparation behind the scenes.
The recent run of form — finishing fifth, eighth, fourth, tenth, and third — is a little uneven, but there are flashes in there worth holding onto. That fourth and that third show a horse that can travel into a race and threaten, even if it hasn't quite delivered the final burst needed. At three years old, there is plenty of time and plenty of racing ahead. For now, Sagremor is a horse you watch with interest rather than write off.
