Royal Tiara

Her most recent outing came just yesterday, when she finished eighth. Before that, a third-place finish showed some promise, but the race before that was another eighth. It's a mixed picture: nothing disastrous, but nothing to celebrate either. The one placed finish in three races means Royal Tiara has at least shown she can run competitively on her day, which is more than some horses manage. At five years old, she is past the point where improvement comes easily, so consistency and the odd placed effort might be the realistic target going forward. Whether she is capable of that breakthrough win remains to be seen, but she is clearly active and being tried regularly by her trainer.
