Queally runs a competitive yard at Cappagh in County Waterford, and he has Rocky's Diamond well in hand. The horse showed early promise with his debut victory at Limerick in April 2024, and has steadily accumulated form since. More recently, he won at Kilbeggan just three weeks ago, and his last six races tell a story of solid consistency — three placings and two wins sandwiched around a single poor run. He's also a course specialist at Gowran Park, where he has won 2 of his 4 races there, suggesting he suits that particular track's demands.

What makes Rocky's Diamond genuinely interesting to Queally is his temperament and jumping. The trainer has noted that the horse is unusually cool and collected for his age, acting like a much older, more experienced runner. When asked about Rocky's bold jumping style — described as "exuberant" — Queally was initially worried it might get him into trouble, but he was pleased to see the horse settle into races and handle himself well. This spring, the plan is to target the Stayers' race, a significant step up in class, and the horse has been given time between runs and careful schooling to build his case.
