The progression has been rapid and deliberate. Remmooz broke its duck at Doncaster in April 2025, then went straight back to the same track in June and won a top-tier Class 2 race — one of the better races in Britain. A month later, York added another Class 2 to the tally. Then came the statement result: a Class 1 win at Newbury in September. Class 1 races are the very highest level the sport offers in Britain, and landing one in just the fifth career race tells you this horse belongs in serious company.
At Class 2 level, where Remmooz has spent most of its time, the record reads two wins from three attempts — a 67% win rate that amounts to winning roughly 2 in every 3 races at that grade. That kind of consistency is what makes a horse genuinely exciting rather than just occasionally impressive.
Behind the scenes, Remmooz is trained by Owen Burrows at his Lambourn yard in Berkshire. Burrows has been in strong form this season, sending out 30 winners — a yard clearly operating with confidence. The recent form figures of 3-1-3-1-4-1 show a horse that alternates between winning and running respectably rather than falling away, which is a hallmark of a genuine performer rather than a flash in the pan.
The last win came at Newbury eight months ago, and with Remmooz having raced as recently as yesterday, a return to winning ways could come at any moment. At four years old, with a Class 1 already on the board and a trainer in good nick, this is a horse still very much in its prime — and one worth keeping a close eye on.
