Her career got off to an almost accidental start. When a planned point-to-point was waterlogged and called off, Biddick pivoted and sent her to Taunton instead — and she won. There is something fittingly appropriate about a horse who loves wet ground getting her first victory because a field somewhere was too wet to use. She followed that up with a win at Cheltenham in May 2024, which is not a track you take lightly. Cheltenham is the spiritual home of jump racing in Britain, and getting a winner there means something regardless of the occasion.

Since that Cheltenham win, though, it has been 25 months without a victory — six races without getting back to the front. Her recent form reads 2-5-4-2, so she has not been disgraced, and a second place just yesterday shows she is still competitive and very much in the thick of things. The step up to Class 3 races, a notch below the very top level, has proved a stretch: she has run three times at that level and not won any of them. For now, the wins have come at a slightly lower grade, which is where she seems most dangerous.

Biddick has spoken warmly about her potential, highlighting a strong point-to-point background — six wins from seven outings before she joined his yard — and suggesting she still has plenty to offer, particularly over fences and at a longer trip. The yard has sent out just one winner so far this season, so a horse capable of performing on its day matters. When the forecast shows rain and the ground gets soft, Regatta De Blanc is well worth a second look.
