Raydamann

That one career victory came at Clonmel on 17 April 2025, and it remains the only time Raydamann has made it to the winner's enclosure. The recent run of form — five races without even a placing, followed by a sixth place and a fifth before that — suggests the horse is in a difficult patch right now, and has been for a while. Having raced just yesterday, it is clearly an active and busy campaign, but the results have not been kind.

Where Raydamann does look most comfortable is over longer trips of two miles or more, winning 1 from 10 races at those distances — a 10% win rate, which is double its overall record. That is a meaningful difference. It suggests the horse genuinely needs time and space to warm into a race, and shorter trips may simply not suit its way of going.

Sam Ewing has been the regular partner in the saddle, riding Raydamann in 7 of its 22 races and picking up that one win together — a win rate of roughly 1 in 7 when they team up, which is notably better than the horse's overall record. That combination at least has form on the board. Behind the operation is Gordon Elliott, one of the most powerful training yards in Ireland, based in Longwood, Co Meath. Elliott's team has sent out 209 winners this season alone, so Raydamann is operating within one of the best setups in the sport — even if it has not yet been able to take full advantage of that platform.
