Rampage

The horse's last win came at Dundalk on 12 July 2025, now 14 months in the past. Since then, form has been patchy: in its last six races it has managed only a second and a fifth, with finishes of eighth and seventh filling out the gaps. That tells a familiar story in racing—a horse that was winning last year has drifted back into the harder-to-back category. What is interesting is Rampage's relationship with the ground. On normal racing conditions it has won 2 of 13 races, a win rate of roughly 1 in 6. That is significantly better than its overall record, suggesting the horse prefers standard ground to either the wet, muddy surface or the hard, fast going that can sometimes play against its running style.

James Ryan has been Rampage's most frequent jockey, riding it in 34 races and winning three times together—a 9% partnership win rate, modestly higher than the horse's overall average. In Class 5 races, however—lower-level events that should suit a horse of Rampage's ability—the picture darkens: zero wins from four attempts.
