Quafftide

What makes this run interesting is the timing. Quafftide hasn't raced in roughly five months, which is a significant break, and horses returning from that kind of absence can show up transformed — or still not quite right. Only the race will tell. Trainer Sheila Lavery has sent out four winners from her yard this season, so there is clearly some ability in the string, and Quafftide will be hoping to add to that tally on its comeback.

At this point there is simply not enough to go on to know whether this is a horse still finding its feet or one that will need a very specific set of circumstances to shine. Two races is a small sample, and plenty of horses have taken time to figure things out. The return from the break is the story here — whether Quafftide comes back looking like a different proposition is the only real question worth asking.
