Powerful Rosie

Recent form makes for tough reading. Looking back over her last six races, the numbers read 11th, a gap out of the placings, 13th, 5th, 6th, and another blank — with that 5th and 6th showing there are moments where she gets closer to the action, but consistency has been hard to come by. She raced just one day ago, so she is very much an active participant in the game.

She is trained by Liz Doyle at Crossabeg in County Wexford, a yard that has sent out 4 winners already this season. That tells you the operation knows how to get a horse to win — the question for Powerful Rosie is finding the right opportunity. At 4 years old, she is still relatively young and has time on her side, but eleven races without a win means the search for that breakthrough moment is becoming a real challenge. Doyle will be hoping to find a spot where the pieces finally click into place.
