Power Of Knowledge made his debut just a day ago and finished fifth—a respectable enough start for a 4-year-old stepping into competitive racing for the first time. The horse is trained by W P Mullins, whose yard in County Carlow has already sent out 215 winners this season, so he has the support of one of the most consistent operations in Irish racing. Whether Power Of Knowledge will develop into a regular winner remains to be seen, but the bare fact of his entry into racing suggests the trainer saw enough to give him his chance.
