When a horse comes out of a yard producing winners at that kind of rate, it is worth paying attention.

The one thing to note is that Polly Darling has been off the track for nearly a year — around 11 months since that winning debut. How she returns from that break is the real question. A two-year-old who won first time out and then disappeared for the best part of a year will need to show she can back it up. But with Burke saddling winners at this pace, the team clearly knows what they are doing with their horses. If she comes back anywhere near the level she showed at Thirsk, she will be interesting to follow.
