The four-year-old broke his duck at Epsom Downs in August 2024, one of British racing's most famous tracks, and has been building on that ever since. The highlight of his career so far came on 31 August 2025, when he won a Class 2 race at Brighton — one of the top tier of British racing, and a serious step up from his usual level. Most horses like Pietro spend their careers competing at Class 5, where the fields are more modest and the prize money reflects it. Pietro does exactly that — 8 of his 17 races have come at that level, with 2 wins from those 8 (a 25% win rate) — but that Brighton result shows there's a bit more to him when the occasion demands it.

His recent form makes for encouraging reading: in his last six races the results read 2-1-6-2-1-3 (most recent last), which tells you he's been competitive more often than not and has found the winner's enclosure twice in that stretch. He last won at Wolverhampton seven weeks ago, so his winning habit is fresh rather than fading. With a race just one day ago, he's clearly a horse being kept busy by his team at Newmarket.
