Rather than wilting in the mud, Our Trigger thrived — and that matters, because soft, heavy ground isn't just an inconvenience in racing, it's a genuine test of strength and temperament. His jockey admitted there was a moment of trouble turning into the home straight, but Our Trigger kept his composure and got the job done. For a 4-year-old, that kind of mental maturity is exactly what good trainers are looking for.

What really sets this horse apart, though, is who he's related to. Our Trigger is a brother to Gaelic Warrior, a horse who has competed at the very top level of the sport.
