Optics

Optics is a 3-year-old still searching for a breakthrough after four races without a win or a place finish. The horse's recent form shows no clear pattern of improvement: a 13th-place finish one day ago, followed by a 7th, a 6th, and a 13th before that. Those middle two runs hint at some promise — getting into the frame is at least a sign that Optics belongs in the races it's been entered in — but the bookend 13th-place finishes are concerning. At this stage, with zero wins and no places from four attempts, Optics has yet to prove it can finish close enough to matter on race day.
