On faster, drier ground the story is less exciting.

His most comfortable level is Class 4 racing, which sits in the mid-tier of British racing — not the glamour events, but competitive enough that you have to earn every win. He has won 2 of his 8 races at that level, a 25% win rate, and it appears to be exactly where he belongs. Trainer Ben Pauling, based at Naunton in Gloucestershire, clearly knows how to place him well — the yard has sent out 89 winners this season alone, which marks Pauling out as one of the more productive operations in the country right now.
