That one win came at Bangor-on-Dee in May 2024, a small but characterful track tucked away in North Wales. It remains the only time On The Platform has reached the top step, and with 24 months now passed since that day, the team will be well aware that a repeat is overdue. Almost all of its racing life — 17 of its 18 races — has been spent at Class 5 level, which is the entry-level tier of British racing. Winning even once at that level takes more than people might assume, but it does underline that this is a horse operating well within the sport's upper reaches.

Jockey Lee Edwards has been the constant throughout, partnering On The Platform in 15 of its 18 races and riding it to that sole victory. Their combined win rate is 7%, or 1 win from 15 races together — a long-standing partnership that clearly works, even if big results have been scarce. Recent form gives a little cause for optimism: a win and two placed efforts in the last six runs suggest the horse is in a decent patch of form right now, and crucially, it raced just yesterday, meaning it is very much active and in the middle of a campaign. For a 10-year-old, that level of consistency is something in itself.
