Omni Man

His two victories came on normal ground — he has won 2 of his 6 races on standard conditions, a win rate of roughly one in three. This is notably higher than his overall record, suggesting he is a horse that genuinely prefers to race on a normal track rather than soft or fast ground. He also shows a preference for races run at distances between one mile three furlongs and one mile four furlongs, where he has won 2 of 7 races (29%). His first win came at Roscommon on 19 May 2025, and he followed that with a Class 2 victory at Goodwood on 30 July the same year — a significant achievement, as Class 2 races rank among Britain's top competitive events.

The trouble is that was thirteen months ago, and Omni Man has not tasted the winner's enclosure since. His last six races tell a story of decline: third, fourth, fifth, no race recorded, ninth, third. The fact that he was running ninth just recently shows he is struggling to find his form. He does earn places regularly — eight from twelve races overall is respectable — but places do not pay the bills or justify his continued presence on the track. He raced just one day ago and came in third, which at least suggests he is still competitive at something, but the gap since his last win is now so large that a return to the winner's circle would feel like a genuine comeback.

He is trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien at Owning Hill in County Kilkenny, a yard that has been prolific this season with 160 winners. That level of success suggests O'Brien knows how to get horses into winning form, but Omni Man has plainly not yet been the beneficiary.
