Noelan Star

Both wins have come at Newcastle, the first in December 2025 and the most recent just three weeks ago in April 2026. That consistency at the same track is worth noting. Some horses simply take to a particular venue — the shape of the turns, the way the ground sits, the long straight — and Newcastle appears to suit Noelan Star very well. At this early stage of a career, finding somewhere you go well is half the battle.

The trainer behind the operation is Edward Bethell, based at Middleham in North Yorkshire, one of British racing's most storied training centres. Bethell's yard has been in excellent form this season, sending out 62 winners — that kind of output puts you firmly among the busier and more productive yards in the north of England. A horse in good hands, in other words. With Noelan Star having raced just yesterday and still clearly in active campaign, there is every reason to think the story is far from finished.
