Noble Consort

Julie Camacho trains Noble Consort from her yard in Norton, North Yorkshire, a yard that has sent out 46 winners already this season — a number that puts them firmly in the business of getting horses to perform. Ryan Sexton rides Noble Consort most often, and the pair have developed something of a partnership: three wins together from twelve races, a 25% win rate, which mirrors almost exactly the horse's overall career record. When you find a jockey and horse clicking at the same ratio the horse manages alone, that is usually a sign the partnership is working rather than fighting against each other.

The distance sweet spot is clear: Noble Consort has won 5 of its 11 races over the shorter distances, between five furlongs and six and a half furlongs. That is a 45% win rate — nearly every other race — which is an extraordinary return and suggests the horse is built for speed and quick, sharp efforts rather than anything that asks it to stay on and grind. At Class 6 level, where most of its races have come, it has won 3 from 11, which is respectable, but the trainer's own words hint that there may be room to climb.

Camacho describes Noble Consort as a favourite around the yard, and it is easy to see why — the horse keeps improving when perhaps it should have plateaued. Its most recent win came at Goodwood in September 2025, a track that rewards quality, and the trainer was particularly struck by a performance at Doncaster that suggested there might be another gear available. The owners have never celebrated a winner at York, and with the horse currently mid-streak and improving, that is the next target on the horizon. For a horse that only recorded its first win in December 2024, the progress has been remarkably swift.
