At those distances there's nowhere to hide; it's raw pace and nerve, and this horse has both. The first win came at Wolverhampton back in October 2025, but the more recent one arrived at Catterick Bridge just three weeks ago in April 2026, suggesting the form is current and the horse is very much in good shape.

What adds extra colour to this story is where Naana's Shadow comes from. Trainer Katie Scott operates out of Galashiels in the Scottish Borders — not exactly the heartland of British horse racing, which tends to cluster around Newmarket, Lambourn, and the big southern yards. Yet Scott's team have sent out 17 winners this season, a number that speaks to a genuinely well-run operation punching above its weight. Getting winners on the board from that postcode requires smart placement and a thorough understanding of each horse, and Naana's Shadow looks like a prime example of that craft at work.

With a race just yesterday, this is a horse right in the thick of its season. The combination of youth, a clear preference for shorter distances, and a trainer in form is a compelling package. Whether Naana's Shadow can step up and test itself against better company will be the next interesting chapter.
