What to watch for next is a potential run at York, where the team have been eyeing a seven-furlong race. Camacho has noted that York's seven-furlong course rides on the easier side, which could suit a horse whose ideal distance is still being worked out. Whether the step up in trip helps or hurts will tell the team a good deal about where Mystical Storm fits best. For now, he is a horse with a modest overall record who may finally be turning a corner — and that Doncaster win gives the yard genuine reason to think there is more to come.
