Trained by the father-and-son team of Richard and Peter Fahey at Musley Bank in North Yorkshire, Mudita is part of a yard that has already sent out two winners this season. The Faheys are experienced handlers with a strong base in the north of England, and placing a young horse to win on its first outing takes real judgement — getting the right race, the right conditions, the right moment. That they did it with Mudita at Ripon, just days ago, speaks well of how the team reads a horse.

What makes the record particularly interesting is the combination of freshness and consistency. Two races in, Mudita has never finished out of the top three. With a run just yesterday, this is a horse right in the middle of its season, actively being campaigned, and giving every indication there is more to come.
