The highlight so far came at Newmarket on 27 September 2025, when Mubasimah won a Class 2 race — one of the top tier of races in Britain. For a first career win, that's a significant statement. Plenty of horses spend their early careers grinding through lower-level races before reaching that standard; Mubasimah arrived there on debut as a winner. Newmarket is one of the most prestigious and demanding tracks in the country, a wide, flat, unforgiving course where horses can't hide behind luck or a well-judged bend. Winning there at that level means something.
Since that peak, the recent form reads 15-6-2-1 going back through the last four races — so a 15th, a 6th, a second, and then that winning first. The latest two finishes suggest Mubasimah hasn't quite recaptured that Newmarket magic yet, but with only four races on the clock, there's still plenty of story to write. The horse raced just one day ago, so whatever comes next is very much in the present tense.
Behind the scenes, Mubasimah is trained by Andrew Balding at his yard in Kingsclere, Hampshire — one of the most productive operations in British racing right now. Balding's team has sent out 202 winners this season alone, which is a remarkable volume and speaks to a yard that knows how to place horses in races they can win and keep them performing consistently. Having a young, talented horse in that environment is as good a position as any owner could hope for.
