Her spiritual home is Lingfield Park, where she has won twice from 11 visits. On the face of it, two wins from eleven sounds underwhelming — but think about it another way. Most horses have one track where things just click, and Lingfield is hers. Her first career win came there in December 2022, and she returned to win again as recently as April 2025, which means she has figured that track out at least twice over. That kind of course form is exactly what you look for when deciding which races to follow.

The distance sweet spot is worth noting too. Over the shorter distances — five to six and a half furlongs, a sprint by any measure — she has won 1 from 3 races, which is a 33% win rate. That is a striking number, winning 1 in every 3 races at those trips, and it suggests she is genuinely effective when the race is run at a fast, punchy pace rather than being stretched out.

The recent run of form is harder to love. Six races without a win, and the finishing positions — tenth, a couple of no-results, twelfth, thirteenth, eighth, ninth — paint a picture of a horse that has not been threatening. Her regular jockey, J F Egan, has yet to win together with her across seven attempts. Trainer Stephanie Cassidy, based in Royston, has sent out just one winner so far this season from the yard, so it is a quiet spell all round.

But Molly Valentine is a horse who has shown before that she can suddenly find her best form at a track she knows. She is trained and entered and racing — yesterday, in fact — so she is far from done. For anyone watching at Lingfield, she is exactly the kind of horse worth keeping an eye on.
