What we do know is that the breeding is serious. Her father, Saxon Warrior, was one of the best horses of his generation in Europe, winning the Qatari Prix du Jockey Club and the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. Her mother's side traces back through Pivotal, a stallion whose name appears in the pedigrees of top-class horses with remarkable regularity. Breeding is never a guarantee, but this is the kind of family that tends to produce horses worth watching.
She comes from the yard of P Twomey, based in Cashel, County Tipperary, and that is an encouraging sign in itself. The stable has sent out 42 winners already this season — that is a yard operating at full tilt, with horses in form and a team that clearly knows what it is doing. When a stable like that decides a young horse is ready to race, it usually means they have seen enough at home to feel confident about asking the question.
