That said, she is clearly still considered worth running. Patrick T Foley, who trains her out of Bagenalstown in Co Carlow, has had a productive season with 14 winners sent out, so this is a yard in decent form even if Miss Mini Bee herself hasn't been reflecting that recently. Her last six runs have produced finishes of fourth, ninth, seventh, fifth, third, and most recently an unplaced effort — a sequence that shows occasional hints of ability, particularly that third-place finish, but no real sign that a second win is coming soon.
Mr A Harvey has ridden her in seven of those races and partnered her to her one and only win, giving the combination a record of 1 win from 7 races together — roughly 1 in 7, which is actually a decent ratio given how rarely she wins overall. The fact that she raced just yesterday and remains active suggests the team still believes there is a race to be won somewhere. Whether Fairyhouse holds some kind of magic for her, or whether that December day in 2023 was simply her moment, remains to be seen.
