Those two wins tell an interesting tale about where and when this horse has found its best form. The first came at Newcastle on New Year's Day 2025, which is a sharp, all-weather track that suits horses who like to travel smoothly through a race. The second, and more recent, arrived at Chester in July 2025 — one of the most distinctive venues in British racing, a tight, almost circular track where positional sense matters enormously. Winning there at all takes something. Since that Chester success, Miraculous has gone six races without winning, and the recent form figures of 5-5-6-9-7-2 tell a story of a horse hovering just outside the places rather than threatening the front. The one second place in there is a reminder, though, that the ability hasn't gone anywhere — it just hasn't quite clicked.

Easterby's yard is in serious form this season, having sent out 126 winners, which is the kind of output that only comes from a well-organised, confident operation. When a yard is running hot like that, horses in the string tend to be fit and ready, so Miraculous is likely to be in good shape even if results haven't followed. With a race just yesterday and another likely coming soon, the question is whether a return to somewhere like Chester, a track that already has a reason to mean something to this horse, might be the thing that unlocks another moment to remember.
