Midday Rendezvous

The first win came at Newcastle in March 2026, and then, just over a month later, Midday Rendezvous headed to Kelso and did it again. Back-to-back victories at two different tracks is not the easiest thing to pull off — plenty of horses win once and then find the second time around a different story. This one made it look straightforward.

Behind the horse is trainer Jennie Candlish, based at Basford in Staffordshire, and the yard is in serious form right now — 60 winners already this season, which is the kind of number that tells you this is not a small operation running on luck. When a yard is firing at that rate, you tend to trust that the horses they send out are ready, and Midday Rendezvous has done nothing to suggest otherwise. With a race just yesterday, this is a horse very much in the thick of things.
