That sole win came at Pontefract on 7th April 2026, and it clearly meant something. Since then her last six runs read 5-5-2-1-4, which in racing terms translates as: a couple of forgettable efforts, a promising runner-up finish, the win itself, and then a solid fourth last time out. That trajectory — from the back of the field to winning, and then holding her own — is exactly the kind of upward curve that gets people interested. She raced just yesterday, so this is a horse very much in the thick of her season.

She does her best work over shorter distances, between five furlongs and six and a half furlongs. In seven races at those trips she has won once — roughly 1 in 7 — compared to nothing over longer distances. That 14% win rate over the shorter trips might not sound dramatic, but for a horse who has only won once in her career, it tells you clearly where her best chance of success lies. She is a sprinter, and the sooner her the yard keep her firmly in those shorter races, the better.

Interestingly, her single win came in a Class 5 race — yet her overall record at that level is 0 wins from 4 races. That one success bucks a trend that otherwise shows she has found even the most accessible tier of racing competitive. It makes the Pontefract win feel a little harder-earned, and a little more worth noting.

She is trained by Craig Lidster, based in Norton, North Yorkshire. His yard has sent out 20 winners already this season, which marks it out as a yard in form — punching out results consistently rather than waiting for the big occasion. Maynora may not be the stable star, but she is trained by someone who clearly knows how to get a horse to the line first, and at three years old, with a recent win on her record and races coming thick and fast, there is every reason to think her best days are not yet behind her.
