Those placed efforts suggest a horse doing its best without quite finding a gear at the finish. Regular partner Ryan Kavanagh has won 1 from 7 rides together, roughly 1 in every 7, a return that reflects the horse's overall level rather than any problem between horse and rider. Marinakis raced just yesterday, so it is clearly in a busy spell. The question is simple: get it back to Chelmsford at a mile or so, and the record says it becomes a very different proposition.
